Chimey Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Operator: Multiworld Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Chimey, an iOS alarm app that helps you wake up with a short math challenge. This policy explains how Chimey handles information.

Summary

  • Chimey does not require an account.
  • Chimey does not use ads, analytics SDKs, or tracking.
  • Alarm and app preferences stay on your device.
  • We do not operate a Chimey backend that collects your personal data.

Information Stored on Your Device

Chimey stores the following locally on your device so the app can function:

  • Alarm schedules (time, label, repeat days, enabled state)
  • Per-alarm preferences (sound, preview volume, math difficulty, problem count)
  • App preferences such as whether snooze is allowed
  • Onboarding completion state
  • Temporary challenge and snooze progress needed to dismiss an active alarm

This information is stored using on-device storage. Deleting the app removes this local data, subject to how iOS manages app deletion.

Permissions

Chimey may ask for:

  • Alarms (AlarmKit): to schedule and present system alarms when the app is closed
  • Notifications: to support alarm-related alerts and open the math challenge flow

You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. If alarm permission is denied, Chimey may still save alarms locally, but they will not ring through the system.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • No account, email, or profile information
  • No location tracking
  • No advertising identifiers for ads or cross-app tracking
  • No sale of personal information
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in Chimey at this time

Third Parties

Chimey uses Apple system frameworks (including AlarmKit and notifications) to deliver alarms on iOS. Apple may process system-level information under Apple's own privacy practices when those frameworks are used.

We do not share Chimey alarm contents with third-party advertising or analytics companies.

Children's Privacy

Chimey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

  • Edit or delete alarms in the app
  • Change or revoke alarm and notification permissions in iOS Settings
  • Delete the app to remove local Chimey data from your device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
